May at Brunton Nursery

During May the preschool children have enjoyed discussing various types of weather and the appropriate clothes for each weather type with the help of Brunton Bear.

We have also been investigating colour mixing, using coloured water and pipettes, as well as taking part in the “Skittles experiment” which the children throughly enjoyed.

We made our own shape bean bag toss, using junk modelling, this promoted not only team work but re-enforced shape recognition.

As the weather picks up, we have been looking at different ways that we could brighten up our garden. The children have been decorating rocks to look like insects for use to use in our new rockery.
